Habitat ReStore Truck Stolen Overnight Recovered

Employees at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Huntington say they noticed something wasn’t right when they came into work Wednesday morning.

The lock on the fence to the parking lot was broken, the gate was open, and a 16′ box truck was missing.

Habitat ReStore manager J.B. Miller talked to 13 News and he said there was another 10′ box truck that was still there but had been rummaged through.

Officers with the Huntington Police Department found the truck in the 3rd Street West area of Adams Avenue Wednesday afternoon, according to employees.

Miller said the interior of the truck was trashed and the GPS unit as well as the tools were missing, but the dollies and furniture donations were still there.

Miller said someone spotted the truck and reported it to police.
