HUNTINTON, W.Va. (WOWK) – Just one day after searching the apartment where a Detroit fugitive from justice was living, officers with the Huntingon Police Department Violent Crime-Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the adjoining apartment.

Captain Rocky Johnson said new information lead them to 303 9th Avenue West Thursday evening. Inside the apartment, Johnson said they found an estimated 120 grams of heroin with a value of approximately $20,000. A gun, gun parts, and drum magazine was also found.

Johnson said it did not appear anyone was living in the apartment and there was no furniture. Johnson added the investigation is continuing and at this point it is not connected to Hopkins’ case.
