TAMPA (WFLA) – Honda is recalling approximately 200,000 portable generators because they can leak fuel, posing fire and burn hazards.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Honda has received 19 reports of gasoline leaking from a fuel valve. No injuries have been reported to date.

The recall includes Honda EU2200i, EU2200i Companion and EB2200i generators. They were sold with a red or camouflage cover at Honda Power Equipment dealers and home improvement stores nationwide and online from Feb. 2018 through Feb. 2019 for $1,100 – $1,300.

Consumers are advised to stop using the generators and contact an authorized Honda Power Equipment service dealer for a free repair.
