Southern Kentucky Book Fest is this Week in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) – The 21st annual Southern Kentucky Book Fest is this week, and the author of young adult novel “The Hate U Give” is expected along with other authors.

Author Angie Thomas’ debut novel was a New York Times best-seller and was adapted into a movie released last fall.

Berea resident and “Southernmost” author Silas House is also attending, along with Rita Mae Brown, Ron L. Smith, Sharon Draper and Gwenda Bond.

The festival runs Friday and Saturday at the Knicely Conference Center in Bowling Green.
