Man Arrested After Fatal Shooting in Webster County

An 18-year-old has been arrested after a man was found dead in Webster County with multiple gunshot wounds.

Trey "Treylyn" Fultz, 18, has been arrested and charged with murder.

According to the Webster County Office of Emergency Services, Webster County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a shots fired complaint on Grassy Creek Road near Webster Springs, WV on July 13th, ar around 2 AM.

Once on scene, deputies found Austin Hart, 20, dead in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds.

Lyndy Mackey, one of the residents at the home, told officers that she, her boyfriend Joseph Brady, Fultz, and Hart were all at the home when she fell asleep.

Mackey said she and Brady were asleep on the couch in the living room when they were awoken by gunshots in the bedroom.

Mackey said she ran to the bedroom and saw Hart lying on the couch. She also said Fultz was no longer there.

While officers were on scene, Fultz, returned to the home and told them he had shot Hart and left the residence.

West Virginia State Police also responded to the scene.
