West Virginia revealed as stage for massive video game

LOS ANGELES, CA (WOWK) - News shook the gaming world and the Mountain State when Bethesda Game Studios revealed the trailer for its highly-anticipated video game, Fallout 76, with West Virginia as the setting. The announcement generated massive buzz after being revealed Sunday at Microsoft's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 2018. 

The game is a post-apocalyptic adventure game, but it could impact more than just the gaming world. It puts West Virginia on a global stage. Fallout 76 is expected to reach millions of people and is generating a massive online buzz. 13 News spoke with a local public relations expert who told us anticipation for the game has been exploding on social media. Also, with views such as the state capitol, Greenbrier and Shenandoah Valley, the game is essentially free publicity for the state. 

There's no official release date yet, but pre-orders for the game will begin on June 15.
