Woman charged with embezzling from Parent Teacher Organization in Fayette County

MOUNT HOPE, WV (WVNS) - A woman from Mount Hope is arrested in Fayette County.  Jessica Zukowski, 33, is facing charges of forgery and embezzlement.

The Fayette County Board of Education notified the Sheriff's Department about the embezzlement.  According to a release, the BOE believed the funds were being taken by a member of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).  

Investigators found that Zukowski, who is the president of the Mount Hope PTO, had used funds from the organization to pay her home utility bill.  She was arraigned in front of a Fayette County magistrate and released on a $7,500 bond.
