10-Year-Old Girl Found Driving Car, Stepfather Wanted to Be “Cooler Dad”

Richwood Police made an unusual arrest in the town Friday.

According to the police department, early Friday evening, a vehicle was pulled over after being spotted on Route 39/55 for possible driving under the influence.

To the responding officer’s surprise, a ten year-old girl was found in the driver’s seat, with her stepfather in the vehicle.

When the police officer asked the stepfather why a ten year-old girl was driving the vehicle, he said he wanted to be cooler than the real father.

Police arrested Christopher Hoke, 36, who has been lodged in Central Regional Jail.

Hoke did not have a valid driver’s license.
