7th Annual Fox Trot for Parkinson’s Research
Get ready to lace up your sneakers for the 7th Annual Fox Trot for Parkinson’s research in Charleston, WV.
The 5K race and walk begins at Capitol Market and weaves its way through downtown Charleston to the State Capitol Complex and back.
Registration is Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, at 7:30 AM, and the race starts at 9 AM!
The cost for each participant is $30.
Capitol Market’s Annual Green Chili Shoot Out
After the Fox Trot, stick around for the Capitol Market’s Annual Green Chili Shoot Out!
There will be live music, over 30 craft beers and cooks competing for prizes and a chance to go to the “International Chili Society World Championship!”
You can also participate in the team challenge for a $500 prize.
The event is Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, from Noon to 4 PM.
Organizers say this is a great event for the whole family.
Adults can enjoy all you can eat chili sampling with the purchase of a $10 wristband, and kids can enjoy all you can eat chili sampling for $5.
A portion of the proceeds also goes to the local Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Experience Hendrix Tour at the Clay Center
What began as a single show tribute at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, has blossomed into a full-fledged concert experience. And it’s coming to the Capitol City!
The “Experience Hendrix Tour,” is a multi-artist celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s music.
The tour presents a host of great artists collaborating and interpreting Hendrix’s legendary songs as part of a powerhouse, three-hour concert experience.
This latest edition of the much-anticipated tour once again emphasizes the influence Hendrix has made on a diverse group of artists.
The event is this Sunday at 7 PM at the Clay Center.
