Around 1,700 Ballots Unaccounted For in Kanawha County

According to the county clerk, 1,700 ballots in Kanawha County have shown up and may have gone unaccounted for. The clerk believes the ballots weren’t counted due to a machine error but that the ballots are locked in the room and will be counted during the canvas Tuesday at 7 a.m. 

The districts effected include Elkview, Clendenin and Kanawha City, who was short 339 ballots. 

The following is a list of precincts effected and the number of votes they were off.

418- 21 votes short

419- 113 votes short

420- 47 votes short

421- 165 votes short

423- 175 votes short

424- 112 votes short

425- 65 votes short

426- 21 votes short

427- 13 votes short

428- 13 votes short

429- 15 votes short

434- 8 votes short

435- 16 votes short

436/436a- 92 votes short

437- 109 votes short

438- 158 votes short

439- 158 votes short

440- 54 votes short

441- 45 votes short

165- 339 votes short
