Brush Fire Spreads to Homes in Fayette County

ALLOY, WV (WOWK) – A brush fire spread to multiple homes in Fayette County this afternoon.

According to dispatchers, the fire was reported at around 2:45 on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019, on Route 60 in Alloy, WV.

Fayette County dispatchers say that seven fire departments responded to fire.

According to dispatchers, the fire started as a brush fire, then spread to two homes, and almost spread to a third home before it was put out.

An employee at the Go-Mart across the street from the fire says Route 60 is still shut down due to the fire.
