CAMC Welcomes New Ambulance Dedicated to Serving Children

Local News

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) –  HealthTeam Critical Care Transport has added a new Critical Care Transport Ambulance to its fleet that is dedicated to serving the young patients of CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital.

The new ambulance has a fun exterior paint job and bright colors on the inside. It is designed to make a child’s hospital transport a little easier.

“It’s top of the line,” EMT Greg Reese tells 13 News. Reese says that they recently went to a hospital in Columbus and many of the medical professionals there wanted to look through the high tech rig.

Clinton Burley, CEO & President HealthNet Aeromedical Services, says that you would find a unit like this at some of the biggest hospitals in the nation.

“It’s so important to be able to take care of all patient populations from premature infants all the way to the geriatric population throughout this state, and we built just that type of non for profit service to manage all population groups. It’s critically important in our state and we are honored to do it,” says Burley.
