Collaborative downtown shop opens doors

Local News

IRONTON, Ohio (WOWK) — A new local business opened its doors Friday morning in downtown Ironton.

As soon as the ribbon was cut at the Vault Market, customers filled the local shop.

Inside the store, customers will find art work, vintage furniture, and artisan wares from Ohio and local crafters from the region.

Those crafts include glass ware made in Milton, West Virginia.

This is not only new venture for Amanda Cleary and Abby Kuehne, the two new store owners, but they want to help spur economic growth for future entrepreneurs in Ironton.

“We can offer people a space to feature their business or their art,” said Cleary. “The goal is for them to grow out of our space into their own store front, hopefully in downtown Ironton.”

Kuehne added that when you buy from their shop, “you’re supporting local people here, and when that money goes in, it’s going to stay here and build our town and our region.”

Both Cleary and Kuehne stated that the main goal of their store is to build the local economy one purchase at a time.
