Deputies Find Missing Elkview Man Safe

Kanawha County Deputies say Tinsley was located this afternoon at a nursing home in Dunbar, WV.  He is safe and his family has been updated.

Kanawha County Deputies are searching for an Elkview man whose relative say has a mental illness and substance abuse issues.

William Ray Tinsley, 52, of Wills Creek Road, Elkview, WV, was last spoken to on November 30th, 2018, and was reported missing by his family on December 28th, 2018. 

His relatives told deputies he is mentally ill and has substance abuse issues, and it is not uncommon for him to be out of contact for weeks or months at a time.

Though he has a place to reside he also frequents nursing homes and hospitals. 

He has not yet been located.
