RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) — An investigation is now underway after an audit found more than $18,000 missing from the Raleigh County Parks and Recreation budget.

According to Commission President Dave Tolliver, the former Superintendent of Parks and Recreation voluntarily resigned once the investigation was brought to her attention earlier this year.

Tolliver said they are still working to find a new superintendent and will be conducting interviews on Tuesday, May 15.

Tolliver added Monday is the first day on the job for Parks and Rec. Executive Director, Molly Williams. Williams will oversee the new superintendent.

Raleigh County Sheriff’s Deputy Robinson will be handling the investigation.
