TORNADO, WV (WOWK) – West Virginia State Police have identified a man they say was murdered at a home near the Lincoln-Kanawha County line Friday evening.
According to troopers, Gary Linville, 68 of Tornado, was found dead inside his home in the Coal River Road area of Tornado.
Andrew Jones, 65 of Tornado, was arrested a short time later and is now facing a charge of first-degree murder.
Late Friday night, Lincoln County Sheriff G.W. Linville said that when he and deputies arrived at the home shortly after the call came in, they found the victim’s house was on fire as oxygen tanks were running.
According to Sheriff Linville, he and the deputies were able to put the fire out and turn off the oxygen tanks.
The sheriff also reported finding the victim.
No other information is being released at this time.
