Dog Dies after House Fire in Rand

RAND, WV (WOWK) – A large house fire broke out in Rand, WV this afternoon. 

It started just before 1 PM on Monday, November 12th, 2018, on Starling Drive.

According to Rand Volunteer Fire Department Spokesperson Bill White, the fire was in the back of the house.

The owners were not home, but three dogs were inside. Two of the dogs were able to be resuscitated by emergency workers but one did not make it.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
