Five people were taken into custody Thursday following the execution of search warrant by detectives with Charleston’s Metro Drug Unit.

A spokesperson for the department declined to comment on the investigation Friday.  Lt. Autumn Davis said she did not want to jeopardize the ongoing investigation.

The five individuals who were inside of a home along the 400 block of Wyoming Street were each charged with felony drug charges related to both methamphetamine and heroin.

Neighbors did not want to go on camera for fear of their own safety.  They did tell me though, that this home and the people living inside have been an issue on this block for some time.

No one answered the door of the home when I knocked, but the remnants of the execution of that search warrant remained- open doors, latex gloves strewn about.

Harris and Green are from Akron, Ohio.

The other three arrested claim Charleston as their home, but for now, each are lodged at South Central Regional Jail.
