Fayette County man arrested for alleged animal abuse

ADENA VILLAGE, W.Va. (WVNS) – A Fayette County man is in jail for alleged animal abuse. 

According to deputies, The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department received information a dog was potentially left in an unoccupied home for an extended period of time, and not being cared for. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the home located in Adena Village. 

Deputies said the dog was found in the home living in deplorable conditions. The dog is now safe with the Fayette County Animal Control.

Harry Wayne Jenkins, 31 of Mount Carbon, was charged and arrested with animal cruelty. He was able to post the $1,500 bond set by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office.
