Women from all over the state were in Charleston Saturday for the first ever West Virginia Women’s Summit.
The event was held by the West Virginia Democratic Party. It included trainings and panels for future women leaders. Panelists included female labor leaders as well as current female candidates.
“2018 is definitely the year of the woman,” said West Virginia Democratic Party Communications Director, Brittni McGuire. “Today was all about coming together, learning how to empower each other as women.”
McGuire added, “Women are the future, not just in West Virginia or the democratic party. Women are the future. Period.”
