Huntington man charged with animal cruelty after remains of 2 horses found

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WOWK) – A Huntington man has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after the fresh remains of two horses were found on his property.

According to court documents, David Kirby, 61, of Huntington, was arrested on March, 25th, 2019 and charged with animal cruelty death.

On March, 7th, 2019, animal control mad contact with Kirby about two horses. They said they told Kirby about an investigation and that he should not do anything with the horses because of it.

When they returned on March 9th, 2019, to seize the horses, Kirby claimed the horses were gone.

With Kirby’s permission, they searched the property and  found fresh remains of two horses
