Greater Huntington Walks, a community movement that challenges its participants to walk their way to a health lifestyle, is offering incentives for their next challenge.
The new challenge is called “Ballparks of America“ where walkers travel to Major League baseball stadiums virtually. The challenge starts Monday, April 1, and walkers have a collective goal of taking enough steps from Fenway Park in Boston and ending with T-Moble Field in Seattle. The steps taken by walkers during this quarterly challenge will be added to the cumulative goal of five million miles for 2019, according to a news release.
Frostop Drive-In, Midway Drive-In, and Stewart’s Original Hot Dogs is offering a special discount to registered walkers throughout the MLB opening weekend March 29-31. Click here for more details.
For registered walkers who take 200,000 steps per month from April to June, they will be entered into a drawing for a weekend in Cincinnati. The news release also stated the winner of the first quarterly challenge prize, a trip for two to Myrtle Beach, will be drawn live on the Greater Huntington Walks Facebook page Tuesday, April 9 at 2 p.m. with the help of the prize sponsors, Huntington Tri-State Airport and Travel Doctors, Inc.
