HURRICANE, W.Va. (WOWK) – A toddler was found wandering alone at a car wash in Hurricane Tuesday morning.

Officers with the Hurricane Police Department tell 13 News a “good samaritan” called them to report they found the child at a car wash on Teays Valley Road. Officers said they responded immediately and brought the child back to the police station until an investigator with Child Protective Services got there.

“For the most part, the child seems well and we were actually playing with him in the office until CPS arrived,” officer T. J. Dillon, said.

Officers say they posted the boys’ photo on Facebook and found his guardians about two hours later.

The case is now in the hands of the prosecutor, according to police.
