iHop Raises Money for Children Battling Illnesses Through Free Pancake Day

Local News

Tuesday is Free Pancake Day at iHop! But it’s not just a day for you to get a freebie; it’s also a day you can help make an impact in the community.

iHop is offering every customer one free short stack of original buttermilk pancakes.

In return, iHop is asking members of the community to help kids battling life threatening illnesses by donating to iHop’s charity partners: Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“It’s a special day, you know, anytime it involves kids, I’m a father myself, so anytime it involves kids it’s always great thing and we do the best we can every single year,” said iHop General Manager Shannon Stewart.

According to an iHop representative, the money raised stays in the community, helping local families focus on their child getting better and not how to pay for care.

The Ashland, Kentucky iHop will be serving free pancakes from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Donations at this iHop benefit the children at UK Hospital in Lexington.
