IRONTON, Ohio (WOWK) — The Ironton Farmers’ Market has now opened back up for the season!
Among the items vendors are offering are sweet bread, jelly, vegetable plants, home-made soap, crafts, beef jerky and so much more.
The market is also the perfect spot to get some vegetable starts to get a jump on that backyard garden, and even some flowers for the front yard.
”A lot of this is to get people eating healthy, fresh, and it [isn’t going to be] sitting on your shelf until it rots,” said Cathy Knipp, a vendor. “We encourage people to come out [and] support local [farmers].”
The farmers’ market is open every Friday and Saturday from 7 am to 3 pm until November.
