Jackson County Emergency Officials spread holiday cheer with their 3rd Annual “Fill My Ambulance” Toy Drive on Saturday.
The project, in its third year, was first started by paramedic Shawn McKenna.
“The first year, when I had the idea, I only had 8 days to get it together,” McKenna told 13 News. “Now, we’re going on year three and it keeps getting bigger and better.”
This year McKenna and his volunteers filled two ambulances with brand new toys. The impact of their generosity will stay close to home, as the toys will be donated to local Jackson County kids in need this year.
