Juvenile Arrested for Arson after Charleston Apartment Fire

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – The Charleston Police Department has arrested a juvenile male for arson for an apartment fire on Sunday.

Charleston Police Officers say that on January 27th, 2019 shortly before 5 PM, they and the Charleston Fire Department responded to the 1500 block of Lee Street East for a structure fire.

A witness had assisted people out of the building after observing black smoke and flames.

Police say no one was injured.

The juvenile accused of setting the fire has been arrested and charged with First Degree Arson.
