Kanawha County Clerk Needs Poll Workers

Local News

The Kanawha County Clerk says she is in urgent need of poll workers for the Primary Election on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018.

Clerk Vera McCormick said that several of the poll workers she had assigned to the precincts now say they are unable to work.

She says she hoped when the Kanawha County Commission raised the pay for poll workers on Election Day to $200 plus payment for attending election school to $60, she would not have any vacancies this close to the election.

Any registered voter who would like to work in the polls on Election Day can call the Voter Registration Office at 304 357-0110 and be scheduled for the required election training class.
