Last day to donate feminine hygiene products for local non-profits

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) – Today is the last day to donate feminine hygiene products to help out non-profits, the YWCA of Charleston and Manna Meal.

The Junior League of Charleston’s 2019 provisional class is hosting the donation drive and has teamed up with local businesses in the Capitol City to serve as drop-off locations.

The goal for the drive was to get $500 worth of products to donate which they have surpassed.

Junior League Provisional Class Member, Candace Nelson said, “it’s been really amazing to see the community kind of rally together and come out to support these groups that support our community all year long, so it’s really nice to see that everybody is contributing to the same mission and moving in the same direction to really help folks that need a little extra hand right now.”

You can donate products such as tampons, pads, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo & conditioner and body wash.

Items can be donated to any of these location until closing time. Donations are always accepted directly to the YWCA of Charleston and Manna Meal.
