Local Dancers to Dance in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Local News

ST. ALBANS, WV (WOWK) – Four local dancers are getting the chance of a lifetime to dance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The dancers from St. Albans Studio of Dance will get to showcase their talents to billions as they dance down the streets of New York City.

“I don’t think they full understand how cool it is,” said SADS coach Amy Trent. “They know its cool and that they have seen it on T.V. but I don’t think they fully understand until they take that first step during the parade route.”

The talented dancers include Alli Torman, Katie Walker, Lauren Rasberry and Hailey Hagerman. The ladies have been practicing for months. Practices are long and challenging, but the dancers say the experience is worth it.

You can watch The Thanksgiving Day Parade right here on WOWK-TV starting at 9 AM!
