Locals Celebrate Church Rebuilt After Fire

Local News

Its been almost two years since a massive fire destroyed the Green Valley Church of God in St. Albans. But with a lot of hard work, dedication, and prayer a new church has been built on the exact same site.

Thomas Coll is the pastor of the Green Valley Church of God.

“There is still the grief for our loss as there are things that can never be replaced,” said Coll. “It has been hard, but its been good.”

On March 8th of 2017, the church was completely destroyed. This April, the congregation broke ground on a new church. Now, after six months of planning and working, the church has been rebuilt with the help of few prayers.

“For the last six months we’ve been working with the church family to erect this new facility for them,” said Erich Reggi, the project manager for Pray Construction, the group that helped the church rebuild.

Reggi added, “Its a great day, to see the joy on their faces, and to be here for the dedication ceremony is priceless. Prayers were answered today.”
