UPDATE(3:52 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022): Superintendent Blaine Hess says that a student found ammo filled magazine in the girl’s locker room on the floor.

He says that they searched students’ bags and did a sweep of the school. Nothing was found as a result of that.

There was no threat and they called parents last night to alert them, according to Hess.

RIPLEY, WV (WOWK)—Ripley Police are investigating a magazine and ammunition found in a middle school locker room.

Ripley PD says that the magazine and ammunition were found in the locker room of Ripley Middle School on Tuesday.

They say that there is no threat to the school at this time, and they also say that this has nothing to do with the incident that happened on Wednesday morning.
