Man Arrested for Stealing Motorized Wheelchair from Disabled Veteran in Milton

UPDATE 4/1/19 8:00 am: 

A man has been arrested for stealing a motorized wheelchair from a disabled veteran in Milton, West Virginia.

 Kevin Call, of Nitro, has been charged with Grand Larceny and transferring stolen property.  

Call was found staying in a garage in Milton late Sunday night. 

Call is being held on a $25,000 bond. 

UPDATE 3/26/19 4:40 am: 

According to a post from the Milton Police Department Facebook page, the stolen wheelchair was returned at approximately 11 PM last night and found outside of McGuire’s apartment building. 

The investigation is still underway for the original theft, but the wheelchair was returned in what is said to be in good shape with minimal damage.


The Milton Police Department in West Virginia needs your help finding a thief who stole a motorized wheelchair from a disabled veteran. 

Veteran Neal McGuire reported the wheelchair missing Sunday morning.  Police tell us McGuire had just received the chair from the Veterans Administration. 

The chair is similar to the one shown in the picture above except it is blue with “J2” written on both sides in yellow and it also has a black seat.
