Man Charged with Murder in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, KY (WOWK) – Kentucky State Police say a man has been charged with murder after a woman was found shot and killed in a Johnson County home.

Troopers received information, which indicated a woman might be dead inside a home in Oil Springs on Kentucky Route 825.

During the investigation, 27-year-old female Mandy Lemay from Oil Springs was found deceased from a gunshot.

Upon further investigation, KSP says Paul Lemay, 50, of Oil Springs, KY, has been charged with murder and booked in the Johnson County Detention Center.

The case is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.

Police say the case is ongoing in the early stages, and further details will be released as they develop.
