Man Hospitalized After Stabbing in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – One person was stabbed early Thursday morning in Cabell County.

The victim, Farnia Harvey, told police that at around 1:30 AM on Thursday, March 21st, 2019, he was in the 900 block of the alley between Washington Avenue and Adams Avenue on his tricycle.

Harvey said Amanda Kessick, his ex-girlfriend, was riding a bicycle and approached him and began to argue about them breaking up.

He said she jumped off her bike and pushed him off of his trike causing him to fall to the ground.

Harvey told police as he was standing back up, Kessick began to swing her fists in an attempt to hit him. He said at some point during the altercation, she was able to stab him just under his left arm with an unknown object.

He stated that she then got back on her green Diamondback bicycle and fled the scene.

Harvey to the St. Mary’s Hospital for evaluation. 

Huntington Police are handling the investigation.
