HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – President Donald Trump will land in Huntington, WV on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at the Huntington Tri-State Airport to hold a rally beginning at 4:00 PM.
The rally will be held outside on the tarmac in the hangar space at the airport.
Rally-goers should park at any of the designated parking areas that are:
- Camden Park (5000 WaverlyR oad, Huntington WV 25704)
- Ceredo Plaza (283 W 4th Street, Ceredo, WV 25507)
- ResCare HomeCare (208 Cheshire Way, Huntington WV).
Charter buses will be available to take attendees up to the airport hangar space and return them to the parking area after the rally.
Buses will run beginning at 10:00 a.m. to roughly 3:00 p.m.
One bus will be specifically dedicated to attendees with mobility issues to take them directly to the access point of the rally.
Those who are flying out or coming to pick-up passengers from incoming flights will have to pass through a check-point at the bottom of the airport hill to access the main airport parking area which will be closed off to the general public.
Free speech zones will be designated by Ceredo-Kenova local police officers.
“All air service will continue as scheduled with minimal disruption to our daily activities,” said Brent
Brown, Tri-State Airport Director. “Our first and foremost concern is the safety of our passengers and
making sure they can fly in and fly out at their scheduled times.”
The American Airlines flight landing at 3:34 p.m. is expected to arrive on time and passengers
will be let off the plane into the airport prior to the landing of Air Force One. TSA will close security at 3:15 p.m. Airport officials are also working with Secret Service to ensure the AA flight leaving at 4:01 p.m. can still take off on time but there is potential for a delay. American Airlines will keep all passengers updated on any flight changes.
