No arrests made yet after high-speed pursuit in Kanawha City

KANAWHA COUNTY, W. Va. (WOWK) – Police tell  WOWK 13 News two suspects have been apprehended, but no arrests have been made after a pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 mph in Kanawha City.

The initial call came in around 1:30 AM on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019, of a pursuit beginning in Marmet.

The suspect sped down MacCorkle Avenue towards Charleston – reportedly reaching speeds of 110 miles per hour through Kanawha City. 

That pursuit led police up Maccorkle Avenue before turning onto South Park Road which turns into Cane Fork Road.

That car speeding through extremely dangerous curves before crashing just feet away from a mobile home. At that point at least one of the people in the car took off.

Police blocked off Cane Fork Road as they combed the woods near Kanawha State Forest for that person.

Right now we are working to learn the identities of the suspects in that pursuit.
