Update: Man arrested, woman wanted in double shooting

UPDATE: 7/22/21 @ 12:00 p.m. – Huntington Police say a woman wanted in connection to a shooting that happened earlier this week has been arrested.

Sheena Z. Darby, 31, was taken in custody around 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 after police say she called a detective and allegedly said she wanted to turn herself in.

Darby is charged with “conspiracy to inflict injury to persons.”

UPDATE: 7/19/21 @ 10:15 p.m. – A man is under arrest and a woman is wanted in a double shooting in Huntington.

According to Huntington Police, Javier Jose Gonzalez Castro was arrested Monday evening after investigators identified him as suspect in the shooting of a man and woman this afternoon in Huntington.

The shooting happened on the 200 block of 6th Avenue. Both the man and woman were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Sheena Darby, 31, is also wanted in the shooting. She was last seen driving a light blue Dodge Caravan with WV plate NYR298.

Police say to call 911 immediately if you see the vehicle or suspect.

CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Police are investigating a double shooting in Huntington Monday afternoon.

The shooting was reported around 2 p.m. according to dispatchers at 6th Avenue and 3rd Street in Huntington.

The conditions of each victim are unknown but they were transported to the hospital.

There is no word on whether there is a suspect at this time.

Huntington Police is investigating.
