UPDATE: Two injured in overnight Huntington shooting

UPDATE (12:34 p.m. on Thursday, July 15): According to Huntington Police, officers responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Charleston Avenue in Huntington at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday. They found that a 20-year-old woman had a gunshot wound and that a 30-year-old man injured himself while running from the shooting incident.

Both individuals were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two nearby residences were also struck by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.


HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK)—Huntington Police are investigating after two people were injured in an overnight shooting.

Cabell County Dispatch says the shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Hal Greer Blvd. and Charleston Ave.

There is no word on the extent of the victims’ injuries at this time.
