Semi-Truck Hit By Train in Mason

MASON, WV (WOWK) – A semi truck has been hit by a train in Mason, West Virginia this morning.

According to the Mason Volunteer Fire Department, the semi-truck tried to cross the tracks at 2nd and Anderson Streets and became stuck. The driver tried multiple times to free the truck but was unsuccessful.

Firefighters say that as the driver was trying to free the truck he could hear the train coming.

People tried to warn the train, but it was too close to get stopped in time.

According to firefighters, the train struck the tractor-trailer and no injuries have been reported.
