WV State Police Sign

A bill to increase salaries for members of the West Virginia State Police has passed the House.

By a vote of 100-0, Senate Bill 544, which would increase salaries for state troopers passed the West Virginia House Friday.

Originally, the state police could possibly receive a three thousand dollar raise each year for three years, but instead will receive a single five percent raise, just as the teachers.

The bill now goes back to the West Virginia Senate.
