A South Charleston man is facing multiple charges after leading officers on a pursuit Saturday afternoon that started in Dunbar ended in the Mink Shoals area.
Dunbar Police attempted to stop a Chevrolet Camaro that was reported stolen Saturday afternoon.
According to the criminal complaint, while the officer was running the vehicle’s registration the driver, David Allen Woods, 42, of South Charleston, fled in the car — reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.
Officers say Woods eventually crashed the car into a cruiser. Then attempted to flee on foot.
Woods was wanted on felony malicious wounding charges. After Saturday’s pursuit he is now facing additional charges of receiving or transferring stolen goods and fleeing with reckless indifference charges.
He is currently being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
