Students in Braidy Industries Program Meet With CEO, Look Forward To Jobs

Local News

Students in the Braidy Industries program at ACTC got to hear from the CEO of the company Wednesday morning.

Craig Bouchard spoke about the future of his company right here in Appalachia.

According to Bouchard, more than 10,000 people have applied for jobs with Braidy Industries.

That being said, Bouchard assured students today that they are on the fast-track to a great career and are the first applicants Braidy industries will look at to fill its positions.

Students say it makes a big difference to hear directly from the CEO of the company rather than just a representative.

”He let us know that we’re in a good spot and again it’s just reassurance. Makes me feel comfortable that I’m making the right choice in this program,” said Parker Ball, a student in the Braidy Industries Program. “How often does this get to happen? We’re all excited and we wanna be as in with the information as possible.”

Bouchard says 600 permanent jobs will come to the area.

That’s not counting the more than one thousand jobs that will help build the plants themselves.
