UPDATE: Tug Valley High School football team, staff quarantines after positive COVID-19 case

UPDATE: 5:15 p.m. Oct. 8, 2020: The Mingo County Board of Education says the Tug Valley High School football team and the coaching and support staff will quarantine for the next 14 days after a player tested positive COVID-19.

Friday, Oct. 9 is a regularly scheduled remote learning day for Tug Valley teachers and students. Cooks and custodians will report to the school, according to the Mingo County BOE. Virtual students will be able to pick meals up from Tug Valley from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.

The BOE says the Mingo County School District will work with the Mingo County Health Department and will release more information as it becomes available.
