Two Residents Rescued After Tree Falls on Trailer

Local News

Two residents were trapped underneath large tree limbs that fell on top of a trailer in Greenup County.

The Load Volunteer Fire Department says they were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. to a house near Coal Branch Road in Greenup, KY.

Firefighters were alerted that two residents were trapped underneath large tree limbs inside of the trailer. The rescue crews were able to cut the limbs and safely get the residents out.

We talked with another resident about this accident and she says this isn’t the first occasion.

“My sister and her girlfriend live here, no kids or nothing thank goodness. They were the only two home. They were actually in the bed where the tree fell. It was just like literally limbs and they were dodging limbs trying to keep  from getting hit with them, but thank God it was just the way it was, you know what I mean”, said Amy Wilson, resident.

Along with the damage to the trailer, two cars that were parked beside the trailer were also damaged.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
