Woman accused of fatally shooting ex-husband at McDonald’s enters insanity plea

SOUTH POINT, OH (WOWK) – The woman accused of fatally shooting her ex-husband in a McDonald’s parking lot in South Point, OH in January was back in court.

Court documents reveal Belinda Adkins entered a please of “not guilty by reason of insanity” in Judge Finley’s courtroom on Wednesday.

The court will now have to order evaluations on Adkins to determine if she is competent to stand trial and to evaluate her mental state at the time of the alleged crime.
