UPDATE (11/28/2018 2 PM):
A woman is now being charged with murder after a man who was shot in the head near St. Albans has died.
The Kanawha County Prosecutor’s Office confirms Michael Ward has died after last week’s shooting.
The charges against Ashley Kyle have been changed to murder.
UPDATE (11/21/2018 6 PM):
A woman is facing charges after a shooting in near St. Albans.
Ashley Nicole Kyle, 23 of St. Albans, is facing charges of malicious assault and prohibited possession of firearm charges.
Kyle is accused of shooting 35-year-old Michael Ward in the head while he was in a moving vehicle. Ward was taken to the hospital and was last listed in critical condition.
According to the criminal complaint, Kyle allegedly hid from deputies, before being taken into custody. Kyle’s bond was set at $500,000 cash. Her preliminary hearing is set at 3:30 PM Nov. 29.
ORIGINAL (11/21/2018 1:30 PM) : Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputies say a woman is in custody after a man was shot in the head near St. Albans, West Virginia.
The KCSO, says the shooting happened in the 200 Block of Riverside Drive at around 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018.
Deputies say the man was riding in the back seat of a minivan when a woman allegedly shot him through the backseat window.
According to deputies, the woman was detained and questioned but has not been charged.
The man’s condition is unknown at this time.
