HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WOWK) – For the first time ever, Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity hosted a new kind of fundraiser that involved a hammer and nail.

“She Nailed It!” was held at Black Sheep Harley Davidson; an all-women nail-hammering relay competition designed to help raise money to help fund for affordable housing in the area.

Team entry fees costed $1,000 and ten teams registered. Amongst entry fees, a silent auction and corporate sponsors, roughly $13,000 was raised tonight.

Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity is always looking for volunteers. If interested, visit their website or call at (304) 523-4822.
