Ohio State Patrol Investigating a Crash That Killed an 18-Month-Old Child

Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a child. The crash occurred on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. on State Route 73 just north of Galena Pike. Drugs and/or alcohol believe to be a factor in the cause of the crash.

Bonnie Kazee, 29 was driving northbound on SR 73 when Brandon Davis, 25 driving southbound, drove left of center, hitting Kazee’s vehicle head on.

Davis was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries as well. Brooklyn Moore, a front seat passenger in Davis’ car was flown to St. Mary’s in Huntington where she is listed in critical condition. Aerilyn Lowe, an 18-month-old daughter of Moore was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Kazee was transported to a local hospital and released, three children in her vehicle were also transported with non-life threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, Washington TWP VFD, Portsmouth Ambulance and the Scioto County Dog Warden.
