2 men indicted in Ohio slayings of 2 adults, infant

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) – Two men have been indicted in the slayings of three people, including an infant, who were fatally shot inside a car in Ohio.

The Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office in Youngstown says 23-year-old Shaiquon Sharpe, of Columbus, and 23-year-old Taquashon Ray, of Youngstown, face multiple counts of aggravated murder along with other charges.

The men are accused of killing 21-year-old Edward Morris, 19-year-old Valarcia Blair and her 3-month-old son, Tariq Morris, in Youngstown last November.

Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul Gains on Monday said Edward Morris knew Sharpe and the men had arranged a meeting. Gains said Morris was armed and fired at least one shot.

The Mahoning County Clerk of Courts Office said on Tuesday that Sharpe and Ray don’t yet have attorneys who could comment on their charges.
